Stane House is not active on social media or booking sites, however has received excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, Google Maps and in our visitor’s book. Some of these are below.
An easy walk off the Downs-definitely a cut above the rest-warm, super comfy beds and a beautiful garden to admire. Very informal and genuine hosts. If you stay then do make any reservations for the only place to eat within walking distance, The White Horse at Bignor, well in advance as it’s very popular. Ideal if you’re walking over from Cocking and it’s a 90-120 minute walk to Amberley station if you need to access the trains.

June 2019We stayed here a night whilst walking the South Downs Way and it was the best accommodation of the trip. The room was wonderful, extremely luxurious and immaculately decorated. The host was fantastic and I’ll definitely be staying here again if the opportunity arises.

November 2017We had a wonderful nights rest at Stane House B&B. Beds were comfy and both Hosts helped us by getting us Fish and Chips as Angie and Nick were both very kind and welcoming to us weary travellers after a long days’ walking the South Downs Path from Truleigh Hill to Bignor. Breakfast was delicious and Nick dropped us off back to the start of our next days walk along the path. We are both very grateful to Angie and Nick. Thank-you!

October 2017Lovely to be back at Stane House. Very comfortable room and fabulous breakfast with home made jams, fresh raspberries and full English breakfast. Angie is a very friendly and welcoming host. Hope to go back again next year. Thanks for a wondeful weekend.
